"I'm desperate for some advice. Since my daughter's delivery almost a year ago, intercourse with my husband has been painful and has left a tiny bit of bleeding, from what felt like a small wound around where the vaginal opening meets the perineum (it was not originating in the vagina itself). During my daughter's delivery, I did tear a bit, but it wasn't enough that I needed stitches, apparently. It hasn't been HUGELY painful, but it's been bothering me for all that time (11 ... + months), so I finally went to my ob/gyn office today. She said it was a fissure caused by low estrogen from breastfeeding, and prescribed me an (insanely expensive) estrogen cream. Not only am I not willing to pay that much for such a thing, I don't want to apply an ESTROGEN CREAM to my body, particularly since we are going to be trying to conceive again soon. Do you have any advice as to what to do for this? Should I call back and demand an alternative? (I'm not very assertive...I probably should have done that to begin with!)"-Anonymous tea calf length wedding items for plus size ladies
